Reforming Transitions

Following on from a forum convened by ALL and the Mitchell Institute at Victoria University earlier this year, two working groups have been established to consider curriculum and assessment, and pathways.

The Curriculum and Assessment working group is chaired by Sandra Milligan, Director of the University of Melbourne’s Assessment Research Centre while the Pathways working group is chaired by Tom Bentley, Executive Director, Policy and Impact at RMIT University.

The working parties are considering a range of options for a reform narrative which is understood by politicians, parents, students, business and the community.

While the work is in early stages, the aim is to identify achievable changes to the transition from secondary school to make sure all learners thrive.
